Achievement Objectives



Students will:
  • Participate in creative and regular physical activities and identify enjoyable experiences.

Learning Outcomes


We are learning to:
  • Create and perform sequences of unlike actions on the floor.
  • Identify how to use equipment and perform skills safely.
  • Identify how gymnastics is helpful to everyone.

Library session

WALT: read a book for enjoyment.

What that looks like:  

           We are sitting quietly in a spot reading a book and showing respect to everyone else reading.




3D Foil Square

WALT: make 3D foil shapes.

Success criteria:

  • Make a 3D shape out of paper and wrap in foil.
  • We can tell someone what kind of shape it is.
  • We can also tell someone how many conners, faces and sides it has. 

Art mural

WALT: plan and create an art mural that represents us as New Zealander and members of Oaklands School.

Success criteria:


  • Plan a sketch drawing of a image relating to the topic.
  • Work with others in a sensible manner and by sharing roles.
  • Prime the wooden board for the final product to go on. 
  • Plan the colours of paint to use that fits with the image.
  • Draw the image on a wooden board and paint the image using colours. 




Writing

WALT: Write a fairytale in our own words. (WEEK 8) - Hansel and Gretel

Success Criteria:

  1. Orientation - who (characters), what, where (setting)
  2. Problem - what goes wrong?
  3. Solution - how do they make it right?
  4. Magic !
  5. Outcome (Happily ever after…)


Luca's recount

Success criteria:

  1. The first paragraph says where, when, who, why and how.
  2. The events are in order.
  3. I will use time words (first, then, finally, etc.).
  4. My recount is written in the past tense.
  5. Details are added to make my writing interesting. Adding adjectives (no went!)

How to make popcorn.

To make popcorn.

Materials

·     Popcorn kernels
·     Bowl
·     Cup template
·     Scissors
·     Popcorn maker
·     Glue

Steps:
1.                       Cut out the paper template.

2.                       Pour the popcorn kernels in the cup.

3.                       Plug in the popcorn maker.

4.                       Watch the popcorn pop. Put the popcorn into the bowl.

5.                       Share your popcorn with your buddy.

Luca's next step is to add more describing words to his writing.

Art portrait

WALT: Create self-portrait and painting them with water paint.

We can do this when: we use a pencil to draw ourselves with all the elements of a face and painting our portrait using relevant colours by staying within the lines.

Next step:  Use our drawing and painting skills to design and decorate our art mural.

Luca made a well constructed self-portrait using different colours and painting techniques. Great work.


Writing

WALT: write some information about ourselves through planning and ICT.

We can do this when:  we write a detailed informative piece of writing and typing it up on a computer.

Next step:  To add more detail to my writing to make it more interesting e.g. descriptive words.
